How many steps do you make in a day?

My colleague Stéphanie introduced me to Argus and I have to admit that it didn’t take me long to get hooked. This personal tracker app monitors all your steps, trainings, food and sleep. You can use as many of its features as you like.


The fun part is that you can also follow the progress of your friends or people you follow, which I find to be quite stimulating. Last week I was sitting on my couch when I received a notification saying that someone just finished a 5km run. I felt so bad that I started a training myself. I don’t know if I have to feel weak for giving in to peer pressure or proud because I trained!

Anyhow, the important thing is that the app makes me aware of how little I move on a normal working day and it motivates me to exercise. Just yesterday, I was chatting with a friend complaining about my lack of steps for that day so we decided to go for a walk in the park at 9PM. I don’t know how long I will keep this up, but in the mean time I am enjoying it.

The only ‘negative’ thing about it, is that it uses a lot of battery power and that it is not available for Android.
