Peliculatina

Today starts another festival in Brussels. another one , yes, but this is the second edition Peliculatina, the festival of Latin American and Iberian Film !

And for its second edition, the festival has thought big. An opening night quite successful, twenty-seven new films on screens at Vendôme, Styx and Flagey and all these till Tuesday !

Moreover, the program is absolutely fabulous : rather eclectic with films of any type (comedy, drama, horror or action) and subjects (politics, family, youth, feminism, drugs) from all Hispanic countries and it is almost possible to see all movies (what a luxury, isn’t it ?). It is almost difficult to make a choice!

The festival opened with the film Miguel San Miguel which will also be rebroadcasted Monday at Styx . Miguel San Miguel is a Chilean film about the 70s. This black and white film that takes us into lives of young boys full of hope dreaming to the sound of rock, punk and disco music, when everything seemed possible ..

Other films have particularly attracted our attention as Juan de los muertos , a film with zombies El liampiador , that seems to be a touching movie , Circular , a collaboration of 5 director 5 Pescador when morality fights against greed ,…

Besides, the prices are quite democratic ! Between 5-8 euros for a film that is not yet released, it’s even cheaper than these big Movies I will not mention the name…

So if you do not know what to do with your weekend, go for it, enjoy it, it’s cheap and it is, for once, good movies !
